Shaker Eid is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Director of Research & Innovation for the Division of Hospital Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

Dr. Eid has over 15 years of experience in the healthcare field and more than a decade of experience in healthcare leadership. He is an active member of the American Association of Physician Leadership (AAPL) and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He previously chaired the Society of Hospital Medicine National Research Committee. Dr. Eid harbors a broad interest in healthcare quality improvement, healthcare access disparity, large database and patient centered outcomes research as well as application of artificial intelligence technology and Lean-Sigma concepts in healthcare. He has contributed to over 100 published articles, editorials, expert opinion pieces and abstracts.

Dr. Eid received his MBA with focus on Health Care Leadership and Management from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. He also holds a green-belt certification in Lean-Sigma for Healthcare from the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality.
