Nicholas Tilipman is an Assistant Professor at the Carey School of Business at Johns Hopkins University. His research focuses on the intersection of health care economics and industrial organization. In particular, Dr. Tilipman studies the effects of competition and regulation on the behavior of employers, insurers, and providers. His research has appeared in numerous academic journals, including general interested economics journals, field economics journals, and health policy journals.

Prior to coming to Johns Hopkins, Dr. Tilipman was an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He served as a Staff Economist at the Council of Economic Advisers in 2012-2013.
