Assistant Professor, Department of Dermatology
Johns Hopkins School of Medicine
Kristin Bibee is interested in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, the second most common malignancy with 800,000 cases diagnosed in the US each year. These tumors are the most common malignancy arising in solid organ transplant recipients and more aggressive in immunosuppressed patients. As a practicing dermatologic surgeon, she collects tumors from her patients to aid in the study of the molecular mechanisms of this cancer.
