Joy Dada is a doctoral student in Health Economics and Policy in the department of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Joy’s research interests include healthcare workforce labor policy and the health of women and children in low income settings. Prior to starting her PhD, she held positions as a Predoctoral Research Professional at the Development Innovation Lab at the University of Chicago and Research Intern at The Hamilton Project, Brookings Institution. In 2024, Joy was awarded a Predoctoral Dissertation Fellowship by the Initiative on Enabling Choice in Healthcare at the University of Chicago for her work on nurse occupational licensing regulation. Joy received her B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Chicago.
