Enid Chung Roemer, PhD, is Associate Scientist and Deputy Director at the Institute for Health and Productivity Studies, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Department of Health, Behavior and Society. She has two decades of experience conducting empirical research in developing, implementing, and evaluating worksite health promotion programs. Her research examines the relationship between employee health and well-being and work-related productivity, and covers a variety of health topics including diet/nutrition, physical activity, stress management, smoking, and obesity-related disease prevention. Her research interests include examining the psychosocial factors that contribute to health beliefs, health behaviors, and motivation to change and maintain health promoting/disease preventing behaviors. Her expertise also includes conducting process evaluation of worksite health promotion programs and instrument validation studies.
Dr. Roemer earned her doctorate in Applied Social Psychology from The George Washington University, and her BA degree in Psychology from Wellesley College.
