Aditi Sen is the Director of Research and Policy at the Health Care Cost Institute (HCCI). In this role, she provides strategic direction for and ongoing oversight of HCCI’s research agenda and works to use rigorous analytic approaches and HCCI’s rich data resources to improve health policy design and implementation at the state and Federal levels.

Prior to joining HCCI, Dr. Sen spent five years on the faculty at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health where she conducted research focused on health care markets and payment systems and implications for equitable access to health care services, taught health economics, and advised students. Previously she was a Health and Aging Policy Fellow in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and on the staff of the White House Council of Economic Advisers.

Dr. Sen received her BA in History from Yale University and her PhD in Health Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
