Anaeze C. Offodile II MD MPH is the Executive Director for Clinical Transformation and an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Plastic Surgery and Health Services Research at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is also a non-resident scholar in domestic health policy at the Baker Institute, a non-partisan think tank at Rice University. In his enterprise role, he is tasked with identifying and implementing novel approaches to the organization and delivery of cancer care that leverage digital health applications (wearables, mobile apps, and patient portals). His scholarship is focused on optimizing cancer symptom control, characterizing the risk factors and trajectory for financial toxicity following cancer care, understanding the impact of private equity on hospital markets, and applying behavioral economics principles to quality improvement.

Dr. Offodile is a graduate of Kent State University, Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He completed surgical training at Brigham & Women’s Hospital (General Surgery), Lahey Clinic (Plastic Surgery) and MD Anderson Cancer Center (Microvascular fellowship). He serves on the editorial board of Annals of Surgery, is the recipient of competitive extra-mural funding and has published in journals such as Journal of Clinical Oncology, Nature Medicine, Lancet, Annals of Surgery, JAMA Network Open, JAMA Surgery, and Health Affairs. He was the 2019-2021 Gilbert Omenn Fellow at the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) and is a consultant to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) and World Economic Forum.
